Fit-out of the new £35 million John Lewis store in Birmingham.
This store is the largest the retailer has opened in the past four years and was the largest retail development delivered in Europe during 2015.
The gross internal area of the building is 250,000 square foot, occupying seven levels with trade across four of these – providing an overall selling area of around 170,00 square foot.
The store debuted several brand new services and concepts, in line with John Lewis’ ambition to expand customer experience as part of their ‘omnichannel’ approach.
We supported John Lewis throughout the duration of this project, from the design phase through to procurement of the main contract, and into the construction phase – during which we managed the contract and change processes, agreeing the final account.
