High quality commercial space
This project encompassed the refurbishment of HPE’s existing warehouse back of house area to transform into a modern office environment. The completed scheme included 500 desks, a new car park, toilet block and additional cafe refurbishment. A new mezzanine structure was installed to provide conference and meeting room facilities. Due to rapid expansion in various business units, timely delivery of the project was critical to meet an intensive recruitment drive. Bruceshaw were the first consultant appointed, providing advice and procuring the team, the contractor and the works in a stringent timeframe, whilst retaining control on quality and cost.

During the design and cost planning stages HPE evolved and enhanced their standard office specification to incorporate wellbeing and agile working, creating a budgetary issue. To overcome this, Bruceshaw worked with HPE to devise strategies which reduced cost whilst maintaining the integrity of the design and materials. These included value engineering workshops, market testing and interrogation of the 2nd stage packages. The desired outcomes was achieved well within budget.
