Due Diligence
Bruce Shaw provides a Due Diligence and Project Monitoring Service which gives an independent third party assessment for the benefit of all parties concerned with Project Funding.
We provide a project specific service and carry out our role in a pro-active, non-adversarial manner. Our on-going objective is to add value for all parties involved.
Typically our Due Diligence service reviews and assesses the following project related areas, with findings being reported and recommendations made as appropriate:
- Project related documentation including Tender Documents and the Building Contract.
- Project personnel and competency.
- Fee agreements and design risk.
- Programme provision and Project Costs.
- Project procedures, including Quality and Change Control provisions.
- Statutory matters such as Planning Conditions, Building Control and Road Bond status.
- Legal matters such as rights of way, way-leaves, and warranties.
- Insurances. Funding and cash flow matters.
- General Project risks including Third Party issues. Identifying appropriate action for removing, mitigating and controlling risks identified.
Our Project Monitoring service extends the Due Diligence process into the on-site post-contract stage. During this phase of the Project we assess and report on matters such as progress, quality, cost incurred, payments, variations incurred and anticipated, cost to complete, Building Control approval, warranty agreements and the like. Reporting is normally carried out on a monthly basis.
