A Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in project financing, procurement and feasibility analysis, Willie Aherne's specialisation has been in advisory work and in particular public private partnerships where he led the firm’s successful market entry as a provider of technical and financial advisory services. Willie is currently involved with the procurement of several high profile projects in Ireland and other international markets. A selection of Willie's clients include Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, National Development Finance Agency and National Asset Management Agency.

Willie is a former Senior Manager with Bank of Ireland Global Project Finance. Prior to this, he worked with ESB as Finance Manager and was a senior auditor in KPMG. Willie is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. He holds a Master of Accounting degree from UCD and a Bachelor of Business Studies degree from University of Limerick.
