The project involved the extension and complete refurbishment of the second major Marks and Spencer store on Oxford Street in London.

Because the store remained trading, the challenges of this 40 week £25m project included the need to maintain full and safe customer access to all floors during the works which also included wholesale replacement of the existing 25 year old escalators.

One key success factor of this challenging project was that sales actually increased during the project while up to 40% of sales floor area was closed for refurbishment.

The complete project left the store with new floor, wall and ceiling finishes as well as new lighting and new equipment throughout the store.
