Our Role: Cost Management |
Marks & Spencer acquired the existing Brown Thomas Store in 1995. The existing buildings were demolished and facades retained, a new structure was constructed behind these facades to provide a Marks & Spencer Flagship Store within the prestigious Grafton Street shopping area.
Over the years Bruce Shaw have been involved in the various refurbishments and remodels of the store.
In 2007/08 the store was further extended to create additional sales footage by extending ground and first floor areas to incorporate the adjacent Grafton Street Arcade. An additional floor was constructed at third floor to provide a Rooftop Restaurant with external terracing. The store was also remodelled with new ceramic tiling to ground floor areas, creation of new central movement areas, refurbishment of existing basement level foodhall and introduction of a Hot Food to Go Initiative. The store continued to trade throughout these works.
At the same time shell adaptations to the adjacent Grafton Street arcade were carried out to provide retail space for Tommy Hilfiger. |
