The scheme comprised of an extension to the hotel, in order to provide an additional 46 bedrooms within a courtyard setting.

The works necessitated an extremely complicated foundation solution, involving piling at sub-basement level and threading new structural columns up through 2 levels (including kitchen) to ground floor.

We also assisted with the construction of a new 7th floor wing of the hotel behind a new mansard elevation, extended the lifts, staircases and other facilities.

This work was carried out over a 15 month period whilst the hotel and restaurants remained fully operational.
