Bruce Shaw are appointed as Project and Cost Managers for the conversion of a distribution warehouse into a high efficiency data centre.

The project will be a phased fitout, with Phase 1 being the completion of 4 halls, encompassing 45,000 sq.ft. of technical accommodation, for completion in September 2009.

The centre will utilise fresh air cooling to minimise the carbon footprint and optimise operational running costs with an estimated PUE of 1.17. This has required extensive modifications to the existing base build.

The IT load is supported by a N+2 configuration of diesel generators and redundant UPS systems.

The project has recently been awarded the Data Center Dynamics, Green Data Centre Design 2008. Bruce Shaw are proud to be associated with this cutting edge project.
